Cary Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi
From the Desk of the Polemarch
Hello and Welcome,
I am Ron Moore, Polemarch of the Cary (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. On behalf of my Chapter Members it is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you to our virtual home.
For over 100 years Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity has encouraged honorable ACHIEVEMENT in every field of Human endeavor in its ranks, and also in the community it serves. The ten men that founded our great Fraternity were visionaries who sought to bring together like-minded men of culture, patriotism, and honor that had a commitment to serving the public’s interest while training for leadership. In that light, Cary (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has become synonymous with ACHIEVEMENT, leadership, integrity and unparalleled community service. Members of our chapter and Kappas across the Triangle (RTP) leave no stone unturned when it comes to making a positive impact in the community we serve and in the lives of the young men we mentor.
Our Chapter’s focus this year is to continue building upon our legacy of ACHIEVEMENT, leadership, integrity and unparalleled community service that has been our hallmark since inception. To this end, we will clearly communicate our vision, mission and core values at the chapter level. This ambitious direction is in complete alignment with our International Headquarters (IHQ) leaders’ guidance and direction. The following includes a high-level overview of our chapter’s vision, mission and core values for this upcoming year:
Our vision is to be the preeminent leadership development organization for young men within our community, especially in support of our fraternity’s motto of Achievement in every field of human endeavor.
Our mission is to help young men in our community become value-based leaders where they excel in high school, college and in their chosen fields of human endeavor.
How members of an organization interact with their communities and with each other is a direct reflection of the organization’s health and overall impact. With this as a backdrop, our core values are as follows:
•mutually shared respect, support and trust (civil acknowledgement) of all members in the bond, •a lifelong honor of, and commitment to the ideals of servant leadership and community service, •continuous pursuit of personal, intellectual and economic growth, and •embracing diverse inclusion at every opportunity.
Our Founders summed up these and similar core values under the auspice of Phi Nu Pi, where brotherly love and fellowship still prominently takes precedence.
In conclusion, Cary (NC) Alumni Chapter will continue its award-winning ways with each member doing his part in support of our vision, mission and core values. As members of our community, it’s important for all of us to give back in some way, regardless of whether we belong to a fraternity or not. I welcome all members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (i.e., active or inactive, financial or non-financial) within the Triangle (RTP) area of NC to join us in support of our noble cause. Just like the great men in American history, and in the history of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., it is especially important for men of achievement to be role models in their communities and to recognize the importance of giving back – Time, Talent, Treasure, and Testimony. By doing so, we will continue the legacy of our esteemed founders - that by demonstrating that like Christ, we live to serve and not be served.
I encourage you to explore our website (& social media presence) to find more about who we are and what we do. We thank you in advance for all of your support. Here’s to another amazing year of ACHIEVEMENT, service, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
